ok so back in 2005, i received a parking ticket during a winter storm for an EXPIRED INSPECTION violation.

It expired for 2 days when the ticket was received. That weekend 3 days later I had it inspected and passed.

Only reason why it was not reinspected was because it was a SNOW STORM. more than 10 inches. If anything the inspection facilities near my area was closed because it was blizzarding. So what the hell.

I already pleaded not guilty but the judge still says I am liable, is there anyway I can fight this further?

If all of that is accurate it sounds like they are being quite unreasonable. Keep appealing it perhaps...or write a letter to a higher authority...good luck. :)

Just curious, did you plead in person or mail it in?

Sounds like they're mimicking some college professors....

If you wait until the last minute and then some emergency pops up, tough luck.

They eventually started suggesting you e-mail it (postmarked before class ended) just in case you got stuck in traffic or got in an accident on the way.

I guess the judge is adhering to those guidelines. :thumbs_do

I am not sure where you are from but in the state of Texas we have 5 days into the following month after the month shown on the sticker to get it inspected before any action it taken.

the other option is to pay the fine, suck it up, and don't let it happen again

Where did you get the ticket? Sounds like something NY State would do.
