I had been through every used tire place in the yellow pages Saturday morning except for Meineke. I didn't know they dealt with tires too. It seems my tire size is not a popular one and no one had any used ones. I managed to find a complete set at Meineke in great condition, $120 mounted & balanced.
We have had a terrible popping and cracking noise in our car for a while and while they had it up on the rack changing the tires, they saw exactly what was causing it and fixed it. It was a loose bolt on the motor mount next to the control arm. They tightened it up and let us know about our wheel bearings being loose. They did all these extras at no extra charge. They have gotten us as life long customers now. Talk about customer service.

I completely agree! I thought it was only our local Meineke, so I am encouraged to hear it may be chain-wide.

I have had the same experience many, many times now with our Meineke~they will find something else going on ( a bulb is a out , a bolt, belt is loose, etc.), they let you know about it and then fix it at no charge! I feel like they are true business geniuses because over the years it has built such faith in me that they are not going to screw me (largely because I am a woman and know little of car maintenance) that I will bring to them without hesitation.

Just last week I had the car in because it clearly need exhaust work done. My guy says that he can replace this entire section of exhaust which would be about $1000 or he can just cut out and weld in new sections where the two defects are and it will cost about $239. DH has priced out previous jobs thay have done just to see if it really was cheaper and it always is...by $100's of dollars. The work holds up, too. We only last year finally dumped the 19 yearold car and I swear Meineke was the reason it kept chugging along.:yesnod:
