How about a "Helpfull household hints" thread?

Spring is finally here and, with it, the spring cleaning season. :help: I'm sure a few or more of you might have a few general tips to share. Let's post them here!

Mine: I didn't learn this trick until last year. It's very easy to remove that old candle wax from the bottom of your favorite votive holder: when the candle burns out, just put the votive holder in the freezer and freeze for an hour. Then use a butter knife to poke the candle wax off the bottom. Then put the holder in the fridge for an hour, then leave at room temp for a bit before adding another candle (to prevent breakage due to extreme drops in temps).

Tip 1- NEVER, and I mean NEVER let the kids outnumber the parents! EVER!

Tip 2- If it's too late for tip 1, have ducktape, rope, and a deep closet handy for disposing of "obstacles"

Tip 3- The easiest way to clean the floor- Hollar, (insert kid's name of choice here) it's time to (insert chore of choice here) It will clear the room every time!

Tip 4- To heck with the cleaning, take a vacation and hire a maid!

Tip 5- Make sure and complete Tip 2 before starting Tip 4!!

tip 6-never leave children alone in a room that has ice cream, chocolate covered cones, and an ice cream scoop

if you do, make sure you have plenty of stuff to clean up the iminent mess they are gonna make with it and the Ben10 balloons that just came in the mail!
