HP LC4276N 42" 1080P LCD HDTV for $978.99 Shipped

why is this HP LCD so cheap? I have the exact size 1080p LCD from Philips and it costs a couple hundred more than this. I do believe you get what you pay for, but damn, this puts HP in the same category as the lesser brands like Vizio, Westinghouse and Olevia.

this sounds like a really good deal the chespest 42" LCDs I've seen around are at least a couple hundred more.

EDIT: Is this deal over I was gonna buy one but now the cheapest price is $1500 shipped. =(

Well...

I just noticed today, that Sears had a 46" Sharp Aquos for $999.99 yesterday from 5 a.m. to noon. Kicking myself in the ass that I hadn't spotted it, now it's up to $1300. Probably only a 720, rather than a 1080 anyways, doesn't say in the ad.

This tv was actually $1999 at the start of November, dropped down to $1499 just before BF, and was selling for the $999 price only for the BF weekend.

It's a nice television, been watching it and picked one up over the weekend. They also make a media centre type television, in both 42 and 47" which is kind of neat from the model I was messing with in bestbuy.
