HP to stop selling computers....

That's good. I can stop hearing people tell me how bad HP technical support is. I don't use technical support myself so I wouldn't know first hand. My experience is that you get what you pay for and an HP is as good as any other in the same price range with similar specs.

HP makes terrible computers, but great printers (except the one I spent two hours trying to install at a client's house last night). That said, while the printers are excellent, the bloatware that comes with them really sucks.

See. I'm not saying spaz isn't right but no HP = no more complaints.

If I were to get an HP I'd format the HD, install Linux, add memory and a decent video card and when the power supply goes I'd replace it.

MY HP laptop is fine, it comes with HP software that maintains it.

Now there is craziness to get their tablets. One forum I read gets about 2M views per day about where to buy one.

Well....I'm waiting on my HP laptop I just bought to be delivered. This is my first laptop and first ever new computer of any type. All my other ones are frankenputers. I have not had any bad luck with HP products. I had a used desktop that worked great for years. I'm with JerryP on the technical support, I do my own repair and have only used tech support forums online.

I'm on my HP laptop right now! :rofl:

This is the one I just bought: Hewlett-Packard ProBook 4535 Laptop
Features:

* 15.6" Display
* 2GB DDR3 Memory
* 320GB Hard Drive
* 720p HD Integrated Webcam
* Windows 7 Operating System

Bought it off of Windstream so I can just have them bill my account each month. Can't wait til it gets here. Should be tomorrow or the next day.

I run a 30 foot hdmi cable from my HP laptop to my tv, it's easy to do.
