Call me a pessimist but I don't think there is any skill to these games. There is a point or two while the boxes are being shuffled where they line up perfectly which means that its not possible to follow the boxes with 100% accuracy.

In short, I don't see any need to follow the boxes at all. It's (hopefully, assuming there are no shenanigans) just luck of the draw.
