We keep getting these 'Final Notices' regarding compliance with federal and state posters regarding labor law notices, unemployment insurance, and other employment issues. The stupid companies that send these things out just irk me to no end because they want almost $35 for something that is free from the government. Below is the letter I wrote for one of these companies:

Re: Notice #112064, Reference No. #11102-USP

To Whom It May Concern:

We appreciate your overreaching concern regarding our compliance with Federal Law but we wish to assure you that your concerns at this time are unfounded. We have already ‘purchased’ the same posters from the State of Utah and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), as well as the other agencies appropriate for our business, at a total cost of $0.00, which is a savings of $35.90 from your cost.

That’s like saving money on our car insurance by switching to Geico but we didn’t have to do anything! It’s a heck of a lot of Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers at Wendy’s and I am sure glad that we can eat out more often thanks to your generous offer.

In other words, kindly remove us from your contact list. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
....

The nice thing is, they provided a toll-free fax number so I got to waste their paper too! (I sent the fax from the Sheriff's Office so hopefully they'll get the hint.)

 Spaz, you're in rare form......:p LOL

What a scam! I want to sell something that costs nothing for big bucks!

Spaz, if you are using a regular fax machine, tape about 5 or 6 sheets together top to bottom to make a continuous loop through the fax machine. Start faxing to them and very soon they'll be out of paper and SHOULD get the idea.

Dan, I did that about 20 years ago to an attorney when I was working.........he was notorious for not returning phone calls.....so I sent him a 'continuous' reminder.....:p

Oh my heros! LOL! I am inspired now! LOL!

San Dimas??

There really is a town in CA named "San Dimas"?

I thought that was fiction.

Wyld Stallions Rule!

Could have used this idea when my Mom was selling her house! Hated her Real Estate Agent....:mmph:
