I went to bed last night about 11.30 and my motion sensored lights came on so I looked out my bedroom slider and there were three raccoon right on my patio! We have a big plum tree and they were eating the fruit. My husband had seen them the last two mornings eating the plums but I hadn't seen them yet. I've never seen racoons in my yard before but our yard has a lot of fruit trees. I was so excited I tried to get a picture of them but it was too dark. I think they have been coming around for a while. They were actually really cute! I'm going to try and get a picture of them.

Uh Oh!

Uh oh! There goes the neighborhood...:(

Next thing you know, he'll be hanging out with young boys offering them cookies......

My brother has a pellet gun you can borrow.

They really run when the pellet hits their hide!

I found a baby racoon (just a few days old) in my parents back yard when I still lived at home. I had to feed it from an eye dropper. We kept him in a cage at night for his safety. After a few weeks we turned him over to the proper authorities. It was soo cute!!

When animals get plums they get gas & the runs. At least our poodle does.

You'll have to ask Dehawk, he's the one eating them. :p

Maybe they came over to celebrate your birthday? j/k

Happy Birthday, SharonL :D :present: :rose:

Some women wear so much eye makeup that they look just like a racoon.

Also, those raccoons bite & can carry rabies. So stay away from them.

I am . I am also bringing my cats in at night. I have heard that they will tear your cats up! :(

When I was camping with my family, one night I got up to go to the bathroom. Anyway a wild raccoon was sitting by the restrooms and I didn't see him until he was right in front of me! He scared me so I hollored "Get the hell out of here! The poor thing probably was more scared of me than I was of him anyway he did a sommersault and ran off. I just about had a heart attack though lol!

We see them a lot in my area at night. During the summer they sent up camp in the gutter pipes. When the rains come that stuff is flushed into Monterey Bay & we must avoid surfing in it.

Do not get me started about racoons...
I have had racoons in my attic for over 3 months.
We have hired 3 different trappers to, well, trap them and NO one could do it
how do you elude us so slyly dehawk??
=p

Try putting something in there that they don't want. Suggestions might include lion urine (yes, you can buy this on the net).

How about a job application or a book on manners? That would keep Dehawk away....

They haven't come around the last couple of nights or at least we haven't seen them. Maybe I scared them away trying to take there pic. :hmm:
