I need 3 Desktop pc's...

Mostly used for surfing the web at our retail locations. I want to go with a brand name so we have the 24/7 tech support.

HP, Dell, Gateway :)

My only restriction is the monitor must be flat panel due to space concerns :banghead:

Hey there,

Scroll down to the monitors and select the 15" LCD
Click update price

Another Dell

Click here and customize the one that's $379. You can upgrade to the 17" LCD and your total will be $749 with a $150 rebate or you can select the 15" and your total will be $629 with $150 rebate. Good luck.

I have never figured out why dell runs several deals on the same machines. What's the point of having two or three different deals on a machine. *shrug*

What's even stupider ...I just went down to the Dell Store(10 feet from our store) They could not find these same offers and tried to sell me the same pc/exact specs for 1140 Someone @ Dell is Smoking :D

Yeah, Dell marketing can be insane. They're always coming out with new promos, but when you actually crunch the numbers (eg. free LCD monitor upgrade vs. free HD upgrade or something), it all comes out to be the same. They'll just raise or lower the prices of the other components to reflect the "free upgrade".

It's really quite smart if you ask me...

if you go brandname go dell, eventhough the gateway i have is pretty good. dell just always has some great deals going on all the time.

Gateway is terrible now. Up until 2002, they were even better than Dell, but I have three Gateways, the latest one being my 2001 with upgrades, and I would never buy one again. After they dropped the 500 and 700 series, they became terrible compared to Dell, and they're more expensive as well.

Best bet is to build your own. Otherwise, go DELL. HP sucks wet rocks. Gateway is failing.

I get more HPs in my shop because of failed components than any other computer. I agree with Intricate99, don't go HP.

On the other hand, I know two people that just bought new Dells. One has been nothing but trouble and the other came with a faulty modem card. The second owner ended up buying a new card themselves and installing it because Dell's India based tech support sucked so bad.

Thats why DELL has a warranty.

Take a look at the Alienware computer line, http://www.alienware.com/

just to make sure.......... everyone here is aware of how this thread started more than 15 days ago right???....... anyway if foodbiz is still looking, i recommend www.cyberpowerinc.com they're just as good as anything else, and they are much more inexpensive...... if you actually still are looking for computers, i recommend that you browse through their site. and anyone else who is looking for a new computer and has a low budget, just go to cyber power

If you're just looking for a basic web-browsing PC, I'd stay away from Alienware. They have awesome gaming and multimedia PC's, but they seem to go a little overkill with their components, and you end up paying for it. If you want to spend the money, Alienware is great, but otherwise I'd go with a low priced Dell.
