I can't decide which store to head for, if any.

What sale items are getting you guys out of bed on Friday morning?
..

I always go to Target. They usually have what they advertise in stock unlike some of the stores who carry ten of something on sale and sell out right away. I will be staying away from Walmart. That is just insane! :stupid:

I will be heading to all the stores online who have free shipping. (Same price as the store with no shipping)

No stores for me.

Pj's, coffee and no crowds

That is a great idea. I will check Amazon out for sure. I have Amazon prime right now so I have free shipping. We should have a post for all the stores that have free shipping. :bigok:

:claps: I will also be preparing for guests over the weekend......clean & cook. Not a big store/crowd person. Sales turn people into animals!

There are a couple of things at Wal-Mart that I would like to get. I think they are available online so I will probably order them from the website. I don't like big crowds.

Target has free shipping too girl!:bigok:

After my Thanksgiving dinner we're having a wine tasting:druel: :34: so if it's not to ruff the next morning and really a Black Friday I'll start out at Macy's where they do the free gift bags next to the door busters then head over to Nordstroms for their gift bags. Between the two stores the Cashmere sales cover most of the family that celebrates and require gifts. Home by 9:00am for the internet shopping for Best Buy & Amazon.

My husband just asked me if I wanted to go out Friday morning. I said "nah...I am just going to sip coffee and shop online"

Then he told me how much $$$ he has saved up that I can use Friday :faint:

I-ma-thinking :hmmmm2:

I do like the "holiday buzz" in the air and then I can come home and check out more stuff online..........

The thing is, we live so far out in the sticks, we will have to get up at like 4 and leave by 5.........

:bigok: I am def going to shop this one. They have great stuff and great prices.

I've worked in retail for most of my life. I know what's it's like to work around the holiday season. Now, that I am no longer in retail, I feel for them, really I do. So, I don't shop on Black Friday.

Be Nice While Shopping!!!!!

I used to work retail too Babs.
I was the HR MGR and my job was to have all the holiday hiring done by around Thanksgiving. So then I could help out in gift wrap or help on floor (after payroll of course!)
One year I was recruited by the Store Mgr to pass out these coupons at the door. We were an anchor store so we opened at the butt crack of dawn.
I couldnt believe how crazy people were. I was almost attacked!!!!!
Now I am close to 6 feet tall, so its not like I am some teeny person - they about knocked me down!!!!
I feel for all clerks during the season - and I remember that as I stand in line and wait and I give them alot of smiles or comments to encourage them.

There's nothing like having to be at work at 6am and working two shifts and getting done at 11pm. Then the following day, returning at the same time. 10 years of it, and I can't do it anymore.

Ack! I just realized I am 'hijacking' this thread.

Sorry Heidi

Been there done that(only we weren't lucky enough to be able to leave as early as 11 pm,it was more like 2 am during this time of year) and will NEVER do it again!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER!! It can realy make you hate people and make you dread the holidays.

Sorry Heidi!!!

So how did everybody do yesterday?

We went out about 11 and the advertised deals that we wanted were still there and they honored the price! :bigok:

I went to Pier One and World Market. I spent all of $17. Only bought two reed diffusers at Pier One for 9.00 each. So, now that I think about it, how did it cost $17 and change when 2x9 is 18 before taxes..:convinced: I got a better deal than advertsed. Sweet!:wof:
