In 2 months time, I will be approaching a very special anniversary with my wife. I have been saving up to get the ring she really wanted. I have trade in value on her ring now, but the ring I want to get her is more than I would be able to save in these next 2 months.

Does anyone have ideas on how I could make some fast cash without selling stuff? (she would get suspicious I think).

I will also accept donations of $1 to my paypal account iif you so wish. [email protected] :D

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Are you sure she won't be upset if you trade in her original ring?

I was married once upon a time and I couldn't imagine trading in the ring he bought for me for another one.
Just remember, marriage isn't about a ring ;)

Have u been to Bidz.com? I just found it and they've got lots of rings on there. You have to be careful to check out the info on diamond quality and stuff, but I've seen $14,000 rings go for like 3 grand.

P.S. I would be upset if my husband asked me to give up my original ring

So Babs, where's the ring now???? :o

i honestly have been married going on 7 years june 11th i never got a diamond ring from my husband because we were young (18/19) and i was 6 months pregnant. my husband went to walmart the night before our wedding bought me a $40 dollar band with 3 cz chips in it. i have always wanted a diamond but i would never give up this ring because it's something he picked by himself and i truly love it and nothing could ever take its place

so try to get the ring to go on her right hand they make rings specially for that but remember that sometimes the sizes differ from hands on the left i wear a 7 1/2 on the right i wear a 7
good luck to you no matter what you get the fact that you are still with her and the thought you put in to it should be more than enough:)

Tede, that's my anniversary too, June 11....that is so sweet. Starting a marriage and family under those circumstances were probably very tough. I applaud you and your husband and respect both of you so much. I wish you much luck and many diamonds in your future ;).

Check out this thread if you're really broke...

Hmm, I wonder what kind of a diamond ring you can get for $900.. May I also ask, what is the anniversary? How many years, that is

Tucked away in my jewelry box. Did you think I would sell it or something? We were married for 7 years, together for 10, that man will always have a piece of my

The man and I are engaged did you know that? Yep, getting hitched again this summer(just at a JP). Remember I showed everyone my ring when I got it.

Hmm, I'll refresh your memories and make ya jealous LOL

You can give blood.

What we do is just add on to the original ring. It looks great.

Hey waxed,
How about a sperm bank?LOL No really I'm serious! You might beable to make some quick cash that way!;)

Okay, seriously. I read the other girls posts and I too agree that your 1st ring will always have a deep sentimental value. Yeah, a bigger, shinier rock sounds nice, but I won't have the same meaning. I have a hard time explaining this to my husband all the time. When we got married (2 years ago) we weren't well off financially and we found most of our stuff on Ebay, including both of our rings. We will always share those memories and the ring I have now will represent that special time in my life when our love for one another was more important than the size of rock on my finger.

You know your wife best, and maybe she really does want to trade in her ring for something more extravegant (sp?) But before you make that decision completely, make sure it is the right one. I'm sure she will love you no matter what!

And hey, thanks for letting us add our 2 cents worth! I hope we were able to help!:)
