i-pod mini replacement battery

I have the old skewl I-pod mini and I need a new battery for it. Has any tried to change it themselves? Whats a good long lasting battery ?

kcmoguy, I found a rechargeable battery with 3-year warranty for $39.69. From Lenmar.com's Web site, however, this is what is said about it:

Warning: This battery may require skilled installer or special tools to replace. For skilled end users only.

Unless you are willing to pull apart your mini, then you may be better off getting another iPod.

Look for some Apple User forums or magazines, like MacAddict. There will be detailed instructions on how to change out the battery somewhere out there

From what Spaz says, I would go to the Apple website and look at the clearance and referb I pods. You will end up spending about the same and save on the headaches about changing the battery. Plus the referb's do come warranty. Just bought a referb and clearanced I pod shuffle for my 10 year old and with shipping & handling included I spent $34.98.
