ok so here's the deal. i'm running (as i'm sure you ALL know by now ;)) in the 1/2 marathon in san francisco on july 31. i'm going to have a tshirt made since i didn't end up with a true "sponsor". i've heard that if you put your name on your shirt, people who are cheering will call your name and it encourages you when you're tired and want to quit. well, i don't know how many people will be on the sidelines cheering, since i've decided to run the first 1/2, which starts at 5:20am (hopefully those cheering will still be fast asleep ;))
so anyway, i don't know what i want to put on my shirt... the website i think i'll use is www.customizedgirl.com and i'll print up a tank top... i was thinking

CLOVIS, CA
would work, but it just seems generic.
anyone with any great ideas?
 
ok since nobody came up with any ideas (or nobody cares :P) i came up with this one:
SAN FRANCISCO
1/2 MARATHON
RUN LIKE A GIRL!
 
I Came.
I Saw.
I Ran.

And then RUN LIKE A GIRL on the other side. :spoofee:

In SF, 'Run like a woman' would be better. 'girl' is considered oppressive by the lesbian community & you know how SF is big on things like that.
 
thanks, spaz- that's a good idea... only problem is it's 10 bucks more just to print something on the back... and i'm cheap (*ahem*, you know what i mean).. i could do I CAME, I SAW, I RAN LIKE A GIRL... i'll see what i can figure out... i gotta hurry and order it, cuz i'm down to 2 1/2 weeks

and morrie, if the militant types saw my auction, i think they'd have my head anyway LOL... oh and for the record, i LIKE being girlie (i'll call myself a girl till the day i die) ;)

which reminds me of this shirt i saw once at a swap meet.. a girl was wearing a shirt that said :
your shirt may say princess but your face says ugly

i saw a guy the other day that was wearing a shirt that said, "Thank your girlfriend for me."
 
oh at abercrombie...
front of shirt says "tell your boyfriend"
back says "to stop calling me"

Clubchick, the one you said: "your shirt may say princess but your face says ugly" is hilarious! I see so many gals over here wearing that "Princess" shirt and it's true, some don't look like a princess... :zip:

LOL tactful way to put it, geo. i can't imagine wearing these shirts, as funny as they are... if i was about 15 years younger, maybe i would- back then tact wasn't as important as being heard :confused: ;)
