Here is my vent for Friday.Ok the car insurance was due Apr.18.Because my dear husband didn't get paid until Friday,he called Progressive to ask if we could have an extension.We got one.We paid it...or gave the money to my MIL the next day to do a Western Union Quick Collect.Ok we get a thing in the mail.We have no insurance.Great.I called Progressive to ask if they received my money via the quick collect.No.They suggested I call Western Union.I did.They have no information that they received any money. Oh F.I am beyond mad at this point.My MIL claims she showed us a receipt she paid it.I am disputing her claim.I didn't see any piece of paper whatsoever.That is why I am pissed off.She owes me $106.39.Am I wrong for wanting the money we gave her to pay it?:rant: :rant: :mmph:

Tell her you need that piece of paper to prove payment. Then tell her she owes you $106.39 for the taxi ride to the E.R. :doh:

I don't know your MIL, so I am just asking a question. Is she the type to pay it, or keep your money?

So, did you end up paying the car insurance so you'll still be insured? You might want to just go ahead and pay the bill first and worry about your mil second.
 
I paid it earlier..but it wont be posted until later.My husband is GOING to blow a GASKET.Not with my husband and I.She had a checking acct with my BIL,and without his knowing took money out small amounts at a time.He almost had a stroke because the veins in his neck really popped out almost like you would see in a 3d movie when there was no $$$ for rent.:mmph:
 
Well, pehaps the utility knife incident was just cosmic payback. (If she took your money) Karma is a b****. :caked: :hmm:
 
sorry mrsk, thats really sad that you cant trust your own family with money. if nothing else at least you learned not to let it happen again.
 
I am so sorry this happened to you, Mrs. K..You really don't need this right now and I know how you feel because we can't trust my mil with money either and that is so sad..Now you know how she is and to never put money in her hands again!! :hug:
