Is anyone else sick of all this "Obama is coming to town" coverage on the TV? Every time I turn around, the media, short of blowing kisses to this guy are extolling his every move. Now, we have to hear about the kids school choice, where he will live this week, and, let's not forget where he is moving NEXT WEEK! Metro over in the DC area is adding extra trains to the schedule, shoot, you CANNOT get a train over there during regular scheduling and now just because it is HIM, oh my gawd we need more trains! What irks me the most is in my humble opinion, so no hate mail folks, it just seems that Obama literally became President and upstaged President Bush. He should have kept a lower profile until after he took oath. One President at a time please! I am also sick to death of so called celebrities, like big head Oprah, getting press coverage about her parties and who is invited. Who cares, get on with the economy already! Wonder how long the "Obama Media Love Affair" is going to last? I sincerely doubt that the media will launch an unbiased attack on him out sheer fear of public response. Obama has a carte blanche dance card, and it will be interesting to see what tune he strikes up the band!We only live about seventy minutes from DC and the hotels here on the Island are booked for the week I guess with overflow for Inauguration Day festivities. Shucks, maybe I should "rent out a room" here at the house and make a few bucks myself! Jeb could use a few new doggy toys!

My "mute button" is getting a healthy work out on the telly news programs of late. While I sincerely wish Obama good luck, it is wayyy to much cramming him down my throat. I cannot remember when a "President Elect" was so spot lighted? And yes, I can go back as far as George Washington, very funny folks! :)

I agree. There seems to be excessive coverage on him. And I think it has been kinda rude. I understand that him being elected as the first man of color to be president is history in the making....but he isnt president quite yet........We just flew thru DC and in one store there was a whole Obama merchandise display....even little red, white and blue tiny candies called "Seeds of change"
