InFocus ScreenPlay 4805 DLP Projector for $804.99 Shipped

I have this projector - I LOVE it. It's "only" 480p, which can be a limiting factor if you're planning on using it for HDTV, but for DVDs, you simply won't get a more impressive movie experience for this price. DLP has simply amazing contrast ratio and color reproduction.

This is a great projector. I adore mine. It's a treat to watch DVDs on it - and if you're used to screens from 20-40 inches, even up to 50-60 inches, this will blow you away at 80-90. Keep in mind that projectors work well only if the ambient light is relatively low, and that the resolution is limited to 480p - but the contrast and color reproduction is so amazing (thanks to DLP) that it's not much of a detractor from the experience.

I've got an 8 foot wide image being projected onto a screen painted with flat white paint mixed with a little pure black. Viewed from around 10 feet away, the image is breathtaking.

Let's just say you won't come close to anything this good for this price. Not as good as a 720p DLP projector, obviously, but even after hours of movie watching, it still gives me the "wow" factor when I fire this baby up.

If you're looking for a projector to watch DVDs on, and you're on the fence about this one, buy it. You won't regret it.
