Purchasing cartridges for this machine is similar to that of Canon Machines. You buy 3 color Ink cartridges for about $12.00 each at staples or office max. The black cartridge is about $20.00. If you print in one paticular color often this will save you money in the long run as when you run out of one color like red maybe. Then you will not have to buy a whole new cartridge just the red cartridge. Its alot cheaper then buying a HP Printer. Buying cartridges for those machines kill your wallet.
