I wanted some more light for driving (almost creamed a dear who was slowly walking across the highway late one night driving back to fargo) and my 105W blue lights arent enough for me.

SO i went to checkers and got 2 Hella 500 lights for 80 bucks

I LOVE these things. I wired them to my fog lights (which arent very bright) and use them all the time on I-94 from the cities to fargo. I drive late at ngiht and only have them on when there is no one in front of me in my direction or the other direction so im not blinding anyone ;)

Anyways ehres some pics which do NOT do justice to how damn BRIGHT they are

I gotta take some better pics showing how FAR they go (they light up street signs well over 1/4 mile down the highway)

Those are some hella huge lights. They are bigger than the car. You should install a few more on the front and toss a few in back, to shine in the faces of people that like to tailgate or who have those huge bright-ass lights like you have on your car shining in your rear view mirror. LOL :claps:

It's all good ;)

Those are some crazy bright lights! funny post from choochoo

Pics: installed 2 more hella 500 lights... 610 Watts of forward lighting.

finally got my hella 500 fog lights in the mail and ptu them onto a new light bar I made. The wiring needs some loom over it but otherwise I'm done.

The new fog lights I can leave on sicne they only make a long rectangle of light below headlights, and the driving beams I wired to my high beams to be legal. I love the way I can now see around corners when I drive, and can see the sides of the road now. Some might say its excessive, but I say necessary, I don't know how I got along wihtout them. Ill **** and show some pics

That last pic I locked the shutter speeds etc so each picture is exactly the same with different lights on.

I think im gunna remove those teeny yellow ones ahlf hidden by my new fogs as theyd ont do anything.

Sorry, but that looks silly. I would be so pisssed if someone were behind me with them on. I think I would have to slam on my brakes and have them rear end me, then take them to court for blinding me. LOL :hmm:

What do you need all that for? :banghead:

You should put a light rack full of them on the roof too, that would be cool. LOL

My uncle had some off road fog and pencil beams on his van. Those lights would make it like you were driving in the day time. I can remember being in a mountain pass in New Mexico and seeing the whole side of the mountain lit up. If I lived in the country where it was dark I would definitely would look into getting a set for our truck.

I hope you don't mind. My son made a few improvements. LOL

Man those would be great for deet hunting !! lol

I pretty much need them because I go to rallies, and pretty much ther ally cars have the same setup as that, but when your driving down a 1.5 lane dirt road with trees 3 feet next to you in the middle f the night you want as much light as psosible ;)

and i only turn on the 2 driving beams (the BRIGHT ones) when theres no one around, because it DEOS blind people :D

It looks like bowling pins now. LOL
Just don't drive into the gutter.

Combine those with some xenon HIDs, and you got yourself an artificial sun.
