These are good, solid performers - albeit a bit small for many users. I bought a pair of these to use in a pair of Dell Inspiron 11z netbook/notebooks, and while I've only upgraded one netbook/notebook so far, the results are quite impressive.

There are faster devices available, but if you have a SATA II drive connection this will just about max that port - the SATA III devices are faster than a SATA II port can take, so for such applications the performance benefit is minimal.

For a no-brainer Win 7 install of Win7 Enterprise and a full install of Office 2010 you are left with about 40 gigs of space, mainly due to a single large recovery log file the system maintains - mine is about 20 gigs. It can be removed/reduced, but I havn't done that yet.
