iPod's Batteries are notorious

Yeah, especially $255, that's insane. It should be around $100. This is why I don't buy Apple. However, I may be able to buy a slightly used 20GB third-generation iPod for $170, so I'm thinking about it. :)

just for everyone that doesn't know now.... I have watched this too.... and I own an iPod, but now you can buy a 3 year warrenty for $49 (almost guaranteeing that your battery will be replaced) or you can go to www.ipodbattery.com and do it yourself for $50..... good deal if you ask me.

Maybe I won't buy an iPod.

How can they legally shut you down, unless you were advertising them as genuine Apple batteries? That's like Honda shutting down a repair shop that doesn't sell their OEM filters only.

holy crap! explain more, did theys end someone to yoru house or what?

why didnt you hide most and show them your "stock" which would then be tiny?

wow I would be pissed, how many did "they" take?

even though there are instructions out there on how to replace the battery, and ways to get the battery itself.. what kind of crap is that? how is jo schmo gonna do somthing like that without ruining it? and a 3 year warrantee? so basicaly its guaranteed, if you time it right to last for only 4 years? why would you spend 300 bucks on somthing you know is going to die in 4 years? and why should you have to pay an extra 50 bucks to make it last longer than 18 months? thats absolutely ridiculous!

I don't have one, but on the TV show I seen it on they just popped the back off and pulled back the sticky tabs and unplugged the old battery, replaced the new battery refolded the sticky tabs and then snapped the back back on. It was a very simple thing to do.

I own an ipod, and the battery is covered by the warranty. Hey Slavin, can you still get them? I would be interested in privately purchasing like 1000 from you if you do.... and I will privately sell them lol..... but I don't wanna spend $50 for a $5 battery.... that is just b*llsh1t
