Is there such thing as an RCA video splitter?

Here's the scenario...

I have a new Motorola digital cable box that has a coax output and an RCA output.

I have a DVD recorder that accepts anything.

Current configuration, RCA out of the digital cable box goes to my TV for optimal picture, and I have a coax feed to my DVD recorder.

I'd like both my DVD recorder and my TV to enjoy the high quality RCA out feed of the digital cable box.

What's interesting is that I have two sets of audio outs - one says "to TV" and the other "to VCR" so the audio is not a problem. Both of them are functional. However, there is only one yellow video out.

Is there any kind of splitter to get an RCA feed running to both the TV and DVD recorder?

Radio Shack will have what you need to split the video signal. Just as a side note, you may loose a little video quality if you split the signal. Optionally you could use an A-B Switch box so that way you wouldn't actually be splitting the signal, but redirecting it to the destination.

How bad is it? Would it be worse than coax? I don't know, I'm a signal nazi and this stupid thing only has composite outputs.

My guess is that you wont see much of a difference if you are currently using coax to get the signal over. You might even see a little bit of a better picture. :)
