Just bought it, I called Dell customer service to talk them down. They took off Microsoft Works Suite (barf), which knocked $60 off. Got the notebook for $1100.43 after tax (F/S), minus the $100 rebate, so $1000.43 final price.

If anyone else qualifies for the Employee Purchase Program (most local/state/fed govt employees, healthcare, K-12 teachers, college students/fac/etc) pm me for the CSR's contact info and she should give you the same deal.
