Makes me sick.

It's normal for us for presidents/ceos to be millionaire/billionaire. I wonder if this will ever happen in the US.

If the automakers are bailed out, I sure hope they regulate the ceo/president's income.

Why should the taxpayers bail out irresponsible management? I would say if my tax dollars are going to bail out any company, the first thing to go will be the management and that the U.S. taxpayer is going to have at least a 90% stake in the company.

With that said, I am extremely impressed by the CEO across the sea. What a great example to our corporate greedy management!

Spaz, I have to disagree. That would be the equivalent of nationalizing the industry, and our country is heading for Socialism fast enough without that.
I think that if a 'failing' company asks for a government bailout, then the CEOs, CFOs, and Directors should be required to resign with no severance package and a pension no higher than the highest hourly wage employee's pension.

In general, I don't think we should be bailing bad business out of their own mess. That was my main point. If we had to do some type of bailout, I'd prefer to think of the money paid as a loan rather than a gift. That's essentially what I am trying to say if it makes any sense.

It makes sense. I agree with you.

my personal feeling is that, loan or gift - they will find loop holes - and will never repay. common folks will loose their savings and - CEO types will never loose anything - just my opinion.
