I bought this monitor a few months ago when KDS offered a similar deal. I like a lot. It's REALLY heavy though.

Good, but not great.

I got this same monitor about 10 months ago or so. I believe it was the same exact model. It's good, but I really wish it would do 1600x1200 and refresh at 75-85. It will only refresh at 60 at this resolution (which hurts my eyes). :(

Man I almost jumped on this one like quick-fast-in-a-hurry, but then I saw the picture (yeah, I didnt read past the 19", Flat, and $70) and realized, "hey, this aint no LCD"

Still a great price, but I want an LCD :(

do people still buy CRT monitors? :) :o ;)

If so, I'm looking for a silly buyer to unload my old but awesome 19inch Viewsonic for dirt cheap....hehe hehe heheh

I got this monitor last May when they had another
deal and after coupon and MIR's my price was about $25
delivered. Even though I already had a Compaq 19" MV920
I couldn't pass it up for that price.

I'm very satisfied with the monitor.

And yes, people still do buy CRT's, but only when
they give them away.

Yes the post above makes it look like it's a thin monitor. Thanks for the clarification.

flat means that the glass on the CRT is flat as opposed to curved. This virtually eliminates image distortion. And yes, people still do use CRTs (Im on one). Why not if you a) have the space and b) don't need to move it? They offer BETTER performance than LCDS at a cheaper price.

How so? It says CRT right in the subject line. Unless like me you only paid attention to the word flat.

$$$

us poor people who want better preformance than an LCD monitor for the price buy CRT monitors. i bought a 21 inch CRT monitor last year. no way could i have gotten a better LCD for the price. The thing weighs 80 pounds though... but i dont mind it looks great.

Its my understanding that, for gaming, crt's are still the preferred viewing method unless you can come up with big big bucks for state of the art lcd.

I still use a "dell" 19" crt which is a rebadged "sony" and right next to me is a 17" lcd. The colors are a bit off on the lcd compared to the crt. If you are gonna do photo enhancement or play games, crt is still the way to go.

It says Xtreme Flat which threw off more people than just me. If someone didn't know what CRT meant then there you go.

This said, I still love my CRT. You couldn't get an LCD for near the same price with the same image quality.

I'd be carful about this monitor if I were you!
I got one last fall, and returned it. It didn't do the advertized 1600.1200@75, and its morre pattern was terrible.

I got another one last spring with similar results. I complained to the company that it didn't fit the advertised specs, and that there are Truth in Advertising laws. I decided not to pursue it further, but they told me that they were going to contact all their resellers, and change the specs.

As you can see they have all been corrected.

You get what you pay for with this deal, and I like to get more that I pay for.

I now have 2 17s that I got for $5 and a trinitron that I got for $24.

I'd be interested in your OLD 19" CRT FOR DIRT CHEAP.
