Okay, the kids are out and off for the Summer. I figure we can share our finds and creativity to keep them occupied and not in front of the boob tube or playstation all day.....

I found this site...

http://www.kidprintables.com/wordsearch/

It has some cool things (see the yellow/gold/orange bar towards the top) - word searches, coloring pages, etc.

great website- i'll be able to use that for the homeschool i'm working with this next year! thanks for the link!

another suggestion of what to do with the lil buggers -- i took the kids to the free movie at the regal cinema this week. they do it every tuesday and wednesday- i think next week we're gonna go both days! plus, it seemed that 90% of the people brought in their own food (so you don't have to hide your baggies of cereal or water bottles until the theater gets dark lol) ...

i also invested in a slip n slide last week at target for 6.88, and that's messed up our lawn, but given my kids hours of happiness. also, target had 75% off a bunch of their summer stuff, so i bought a nice inflatable pool (was $40, marked down to $10). i've even put on my suit and gone out with the kids a few times!

anybody else got summertime suggestions?

I don't see my daughter much in the summer...she's out playing w/ her friends. She tells me "all you want to do is lay in the pool" lol

GOSH MOM! you're soooo boring ;)

I know...it's sad that my little swimmer doesn't even want to go swimming anymore. With her out front playing I can't even go near the pool. I need to go swimming damnit...lol

I bought a pool for my kids yesterday and we just put it up. Hopefully that will keep them off the computer a little bit. They are as bad as me.:o With their age differences ( 7 and 13 ) it's a little bit challenging to keep them both entertained.

The grandparents got Sophinator this:

for her birthday last week. Needless to say, Charzilla will also be enjoying it this summer.

Nice! I am always afraid to get inflatables because of my cats!

Yes you did, in heaven. Who do you think takes care of and loves all the babies before they're sent down??? Those who have passed...;)
