Tomorrow, there is apparently a $30 rebate on the same RAM - rebate form indicating this is attached. Maybe we should wait a few hours to make this purchase.

Rebate pdf not found

The $10 rebate isn't coming up.Shows "Not Found". Anyone else have the same problem? I'd like to use the $10 and $20 rb's and get 2 g's. This is exact memory is at Best Buy for $165 before tax and shipping per 1 gig and $120 at Circuit City!

Also on Kingston's rebate website they have a list of current rebates. These are nowhere to be found. Are these legit?

Yeah, is anyone else gonna try goin for the $30 rebate? Where is that $30 rebate from, is it legit? Also, the $10 one on their site works but says for purchases only on April 19th... Yet it also says on the site 'rebates - 2 valid from 2007-04-19 to 2007-04-24' .. doesn't quite make sense, unless there is another rebates for the other dates.. and like the ppl above mentioned, I can't find the $30 rebate listed in any site, kingstons, rebates, frys, etc.. nada,..

If anyone has more info on this let us know, or could the poster of the $30 rebate say where he got that, and share the original link?
 
I'll try the $30. It looks like a legit rebate form (although I suppose it could be doctored), and I trust Kingston with rebates. I just wonder because the file name says "store 1426 only".
Worst comes to worst, I'll have overpaid to upgrade my laptop.

I ordered the memory yesterday, thinking that there was just a $10 rebate; however, like other posters, I was unable to get that to come up when I clicked from the website. For this reason, I both clicked the "mail me a rebate" button as well as contacting customer service to let them know that the link was broken. I received a response to my second inquiry with the rebate form that I posted attached. When I realized that it was good for today only, I emailed customer service, confirmed the rebate's validity, and canceled the order that I placed yesterday (only to re-place it just now). So that's the story of where the rebate form that I attached in my previous post came from. Happy 4/20, I guess!
 
the more i read that 30.00 rebate the more i become nervous. it just looks and sounds to good to be true. i am not going to jump on this one.
 
This is in fact valid. I called Kingston 2 min ago and yes it its valid online.

Just called the CS (kingston rebate) and they confirmed it ($30 or $40 for 2gb kit) is a valid rebate. Even frys is not aware of that !!

I just bought 1.

IMO, $50 isnt a bad price for a gig of laptop ram. So, if the $30 off comes through, awesome. If not, well, its not a great deal, but youre not getting shafted.
 
Yeah, definitely $100 for a pair of 1gb kingston pc5300 667, 50ea, is a good price.. You really won't find a lower price, even for no-name brand..

However, $40 for 2gb is much better :) even $70 if you buy 2 and get 1 rebate.. I called the rebatezone phone # on the rebate, says welcome to kingston rebates blah blah, and I talked to someone and he confirmed the rebate is legit, good for only today, April 20th.. he asked me for a number on the form and ended up asking for the department number and he verified both items lists are the correct prices off, $30 and $40 off.. and he stressed to me only for today april 20th... i placed an order, even if I don't get the rebate the price is good but the rebate seems 100% valid..

That's almost 2 dollars more, and newegg will charge shipping, whereas frys won't, so even if the rebate doesn't go through, it'll still be a better deal than anywhere else...

wow! ordered it friday, and it arrived today (monday). pretty darn good.
(anyone notice how much faster my laptop is now with all this memory?) ;)
