Kingston 256MB DDR RAM 266MH DIMM for "12.86$ including tax"

I bought this on sunday. Rebates that printed out were $20 officemax rebate, $18 officemax rebate, and a $15 kingston mfr rebates. So price - $48 - 18 - 20 - 15 = get paid $5.

Lemme just copy and paste the info that cnIsfg posted elsewhere regarding the three rebates:

I wound up using a copy of the upc for the two officemax rebates, since the rebate forms online specifically state that a copy is acceptable when in conjunction with a mfr rebate. The mfr rebate will by contrast never fly with only a upc copy. It's parago, if they reject the $18 for sending a upc copy, a couple phone calls will remedy the problem.

I got the three rebates reciept too. But two of the manufacturer's rebates require original upc so that aint gonna work.
 
oh well

oh well.. is that still a good price ? even if you dont get the 3rd rebate ?

The rebate form printed out at the register, believe me I've looked for it in PDF format.


cnIsfg is the name of a poster elsewhere and so I felt it only fair to just thank the person for typing out the above.

That's just it, there aren't two manufacturer rebates IMHO.

One rebate goes to OfficeMax December 28th Cash Offers in Miami and one goes to OM January Cash Offers in El Paso. They sure both sound like OM rebates and they both say UPC copy is OK.

The $18 rebate form that officemax.com links to online as the supposed "mfr rebate" is just an officemax january cash offers rebate, and it states a copy of the UPC is acceptable when in conjunction with a mfr rebate. By way of comparison, a true mfr rebate form never states a copy is acceptable, nevermind when used in conjunction with a mfr rebate since that would be redundant :)

It's a fine price, but for those of us who didn't want to bother with black friday, this winds up being a nice second shot at some FAR ddr ram :D

does the rebate have a website associated with it? maybe i can sign up there and print it out from them.

or maybe someone can scan it in and put it online somewhere for those of us who ordered online. :D
