Kingston 2GB USB Drive for $14.95 Shipped After Rebate

This isn't specifically related to this offer, but it is in a way... since it's about Kingston rebates.

I bought a Kingston 1gb flash drive on an offer I saw here a couple weeks ago. I sent in the offer -everything on time. I just checked the status of my rebate (30 dollars) and it was DENIED. They claim "Purchase date on sales receipt does not fall within program dates." This is incorrect since I specifically checked the dates!

Has anyone had a problem with this previously? What steps did you take to solve the problem?

I'm going to call their customer service center tomorrow (they are closed right now) but I was just wondering if anyone else has been cheated by Kingston in such a manner.
 
I just got my email notification from Kingston (for probably the same deal) indicating that the "check's in the mail".

Call them ASAP. Often, the rebate processors will reopen your rebate submission on your say so and re-review it.

Don't delay, however.
 
I'm personally going to try to avoid these deals from now on.

I called their center and got jerked around. They wanted me to send in another recipet, but I sent everything correctly the first time. There is no time line for when I will receive my money either after sending in the new data.

When I explained that I sent in everything correctly she (the customer service lady) went to figure something out.. She "found" another coupon date my rebate falls under. Thanks, but it was correct the first time.

Again, no time table for when my rebate is coming around.

It's already been 3 months and I bet it's going to take more than another 4-6 weeks for me to receive my money. So basically I give them 30 dollars interest free for 5 months? That's ridiculous.
