This seems to be the previous model. Reviews and specs indicate that it is only compatible with iOS7 and iOS8. We are on iOS12 now. Fine if you haven't upgraded your phone since 2014.

I got the 128gb version of this about 2 months ago. It is working with iOS12. I've only used it for watching movies - have not tried the backup.
