Lexmark E238 Laser Printer for $79.98 Shipped After Rebate

Am I reading this right - the ink costs more than the printer?
 
The toner (not ink) is almost always more than the printer when you get these deals. Thing is, they send a starter toner with the printer. Its only half or a third as full as a regular toner that you would buy.

For me, I print so little at home that paying 100 for toner would only be probably every 8 months or once per year so this would still work out as a good deal.. for me. TO POOP ON!.. no really- all kidding aside, its a pretty good deal for what I need..
 
My starter cartridge lasted over 2 years and 1500 pages before it started to peter out. (on a Minolta PagePro) I was long ready for a new Spoofee deal on a new laser printer. Got a Samsung last month from here. Thanks Spoofee.

I'd never buy ink or toner, I'd just throw the printer out and get a new one nearly FAR here. Why buy ink/toner when its much cheaper to get a new printer?
 
Save some money on your toner cartridges

If you are a savvy shopper (as we know all on Spoofee are), you will not buy the retail toner cartridge. For example, this cartridge through Staples is $93.49 while a quick search of Google lets us know that the same exact toner is $66 shipped -- you can also save more money by ordering "compatible" toner cartridges.

These are just other companies that manufacturer the same item (ie, not Lexmark). Many of the compatible toners are also High Yield (in this case 6,000 sheets per cartridge) where the Lexmark OEM is on 2,000 sheets. :bigok:

Of course if you print pages that are black background with white text, your mileage may vary.

You can make this a sweeter deal yet - using Staples rewards get a $30 off $150 (need to add 2 cents worth of stuff). I just ordered one with price of $149.98. pak of scotch tape $1.99, total $130.31 (including $8.54 tax), less $70 rebate for a total cost of $60.31 for printer and tape.
