Question about wireless inputs

I'm unfamiliar w/wireless keyboards and mice ... is it possible to have BOTH wired and wireless keyboards and mice hooked up simultaneously to one computer? So like I could keep my wired inputs right there on the computer desk and have the wireless ones like five feet away on the couch, and not hafta interchange them or what not. Anybody who knows please lemme know, thanks.
 
i don't know about all operating systems, but i know it's possible with windows 2000 and windows xp... assuming you don't have something too funky hooked up.
 
the wireless receiver usually uses ps/2 or usb ports (two of them for both a mouse and keyboard). i'm not sure if it's possible but it you may be able to use the wired ones plugged into the usb while the wireless are plugged into the ps/2 ports.

i wouldn't suggest using usb but that's just me. walking around with a wireless keyboard and mouse setup isn't too hard.
 
Valid Rebate?

I dunno about this deal, guys... If the rebate is really valid at Buy.com, why would they not post it on their website? Going to another retailer's website for the rebate sounds very fishy.

It clearly states on the rebate form that the offer is NOT valid if purchased from the following stores:

Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, CompUSA, Circuit City, and Fry's Electronics

Makes no mention of Buy.com or any unlisted retailers for that matter. Should work just fine.
 
..btw...what in the heck do they mean when they say "peel-off" UPC barcodes will not be accepted? What's a peel-off upc barcode?
 
I think peel off UPCs are like a sticker over the original UPC, I've seen it some times.
 
yea i had it over the 60gb hard drive and i sent it out. Rebate still pending for 5 weeks... They better send it or ill be mad.
 
What I am trying to get at is this. When I buy something as a gift, I don't want to give it with a gaping hole in the box. I'll use an exacto blade to cut around the UPC then slip the blade under the surface to "peel" it away carefully. This having the upc, with part of the carboard backing, but, not a hole in the box. I do this for EVERY rebate I submit.

So I was worried that this would constitute a "peel off" UPC.

I think...HOPE spoofee is right. On OM on black friday, the only UPC I could find for the 3pk of rca tapes was a peel off upc sticker. Otherwise, the vid boxes themselves, individually, had upcs, but, it wasn't a upc that somehow represented a 3pk, so I went with the sticker. So hopefully that is what is meant by a peel-off sticker.
