Can this be used for an HD TV? If I play movies through a Blue Ray receiver, will this sound system work? Any special cables needed, etc? thanks
 
Can this be used for an HDTV?

if I plug it into a Blue Ray Receiver, or PS3, will the sound system play what is viewed on the TV? Or, is there a special cable, etc. that must be purchased to make this work (as an alternative to using it on a PC). Thanks!!!:)

You will need a digital optical audio cable. Make sure that the device you want it to work on has a digital audio output. You can also use digital coaxal, but optical is generally prefered. Hope this helps, pretty sweet deal on some massive sound.
 
I don't know about the sound from a Blue Ray receiver or PS3 but the sound out of these babies from a computer (MP3s) will rock your world and make the neighbors hate you...
