Ok I'm looking to buy a forecloser home. I have been looking at the VA and HUD sites. I also have a realestate agent who will be helping me but I want to make sure I can find what I'm looking for. There are a tone of these sites you can sign up for to give you listings?? I feel like these are scams? Are they? Are there any other free avenues I have missed in looking for a foreclosure or seized home?

Thanks
CG

Depends where you are looking to buy. If a home goes into true foreclosure and the courts auction it off. You usually have to have cash for the purchase. Often times you are purchasing site/unseen, no physical inspecion, no termite inspec....Yes, it can be very lucrative but there are also those concerns...

If your real estate market is still strong the banks will hold onto them homes and just list them with a Realtor and wait till it sell for market rate, maybe a little less...

Look at the US Marshalls website on bid4assets.com
Good Luck!!
