McAfee Antivirus Plus 2011 for Free Shipped After Rebate

Sales tax in CA so I ended up paying $4.53 postage for rebate ($0.44) for this.
 
McAfee is a resource hog plus it is not very effective any more.
Avast is the best free antivirus. Vipre is the best pay antivirus/antispyware.
 
McAfee uses 100% of my computer's CPU anytime it does anything. Updating is done automatically EVERY day with no option other than disabling automatic updates. When it does update, it freezes my computer (100% CPU) for somewhere around 15 minutes straight.

Besides that, With the PAID version, they send pop-up advertisements starting day one about sales, renewal offers, etc. There is no way to disable them.
