The Amazon.com link that is included in the post takes you to one that is not sold from Amazon.com (Ships from and sold by Cosmogadget), but the rebate requires one that is. Make sure that you buy the correct one to get the rebate.

Microsoft now offers free virus protection. Go to their site and search for Security Essentials. Has received get reviews and is totally free...No Rebates. Download, install and forget about it. Nice, light and solid protection. McAfee is well known as a resource hog...
 
Its still available from Amazon but the one sold by Cosmogadget is cheaper so it shows up on top, scroll down a little and you'll see the one sold by Amazon.

Well that's dangerous. I still recommend using Avira (www.free-av.com). It is free. McAfee slowed my computers down too much. I've not had a problem with Avira, and I don't have to pay for it.
