Well I paid $1 towards the stupid tax. Anyone one else contribute to get a shot at the largest jackpot in history?

The only lottery ticket I've ever played, someone else bought me. I've read that winning the Mega Millions is the equivalent of having 275, 1,600-page dictionary books with 400 possible combinations per page, and just randomly picking up a dictionary, flipping to a random page, pointing at a random number, and getting the one right number...

I'd prefer to save up my money to buy a dictionary.
 
The last time I bought a loto ticket was at least 6 - 7 years ago and the jackpot was around $300 mil. That time I also purchased one $1 ticket. :)

Good for you! I feel sorry for the people that buy $10 a week. It's not worth it.
 
All it takes is a dollar and a dream (which is buying the Makers Mark corporation).

I buy a ticket every week.
 
:) I threw $5 at a chance to get filthy rich oh well...............:)
 
one buck here...played my fortune cookie numbers...matched one number. My Dad would have won $7 if I hadn't asked him to change his MegaBall number. He had chosen 23 for Jordan's jersey...since a random Michael Jordan cologne (that I had won for him and didn't realize it) showed up from UPS on Thursday. Oh well...guess I owe him $6. :rofl:

So, if you had won, what would you do?
 
You would only get that much money if you took that annuity.

They could just make it a 40 yr annuity & then it would be about $1.2B.

But it's just the same amount of $$...

If you need $ cause you can't run your finances successfully & you win this, you still can't run your finances successfully, check on prior winners if you want to see my point.
