Amazon's own site tells you all you need to know about this deal. They at least sell ipods at a $4.00 discount.
 
Guess I'm not the only one who thought a penny saved was funny. Although you know what they say: "A penny saved is a penny earned".
 
The real issue is how it stacks up against the iPod 80GB. Some love it and some hate it. I read that if you don't have Vista, don't bother. It doesn't work well with XP (and of course a Mac.)

The sync is slow. It has radio and that's good. It also has WIFI but only to other Zunes - so it's as good as not having it at all. The iPod can store any file in its space; not so with the Zune.

I have an original zune 30. The wifi is handy for wirless sync to your computer without being plugged in. The zune can store files on the harddrive, you just need to do a hack to access it as a drive letter. Not microsoft supported, but it worked for me, at least on my windows xp computer.
