Another way to do it is to go to live.com and search for "cheap -item name-" and then look at the ad section on the top and you should see a link to ebay with the discount listed.

for example try "cheap ipod"

I got an applecare warranty for my mac yesterday and the final cost should be $71.

is that like health insurance for mac stuff?

Sadly, yes. With all the goverment budget cuts, medicare just doesn't cut it anymore. People are forced to shop for healthcare providers on eBay.

been getting some trouble with this. Keeps on telling me that I am not elligible because i am paying through a third party other then ebay/paypal

Read the small print. You must use PayPal.

BoooOOOoooGUS!

I see no links anywhere for ebay and I've search and looked all over the site. Ebay is not there.

Note also that they increased the limit up to 6 per ebay account.

Good luck on this. This is the status of mine, and I am WAY beyond the 60 days:

"We understand your frustration with how long this process is taking. We have received information from eBay stating they do show your purchase in their system and they are trying to push your information through to our system. Please understand, per the terms of our partnership with eBay, all of the accounting for these purchases is stored and managed on their end. We don't have any record of eBay purchases in our system until eBay has credited cashback to your username and sent us a file with your purchase information. The purchases are merely reflected in our system as a vehicle for payment. We have no means of creating or editing eBay cashback purchases. We will continue to work with eBay on your missing cashback. We truly appreciate your patience during this process."

beyond 60 days?? dang

soo.... buy at your own risk?
will this work for ipod nanos 4th gen

did use paypal. Got the shuffle from both msft and ebay. Finally i just gave up...

GUYS! I've gotten my payback from LIVE SEARCH last time around. I did 3 buy-it-now purchases, and paid via PAYPAL.. got my promised $ back. I approve this program. I am trying to get big purchases now :P

remember that this doesn't work with auction-style items.. only BUY IT NOW purchases.. and that you have to pay via paypal for the items, not the seller's third-party payment site.

make sure you see the "live payback" icon on top of the ebay webpage!

PS: have patience.. :]

i've had no problems with the microsoft live cashback program (other than having to wait 60 days, which is a bit annoying).. but after 60 days, they take up another 14 days to send the payment to you through paypal, might i add they live up to their promise.. sometimes you don't even have to wait 14 days.. my first payment came in 6 days after the 60 day wait. everything is on time and smooth so i also approve of this program!

I must be a retard because I'm not sure if I'm doing this right. I got to www.live.com, search for "xbox 360 elite", then click the eBay link in the gray bar at the top. It sends me to eBay and a whole list of items from the search. I pick a BIN item, but I see no reference to LIVE anywhere on the page. :-\ Will it show up when I go to pay for it?

You should see an icon on the very top of the page (below the search field) that says Microsoft cashback 30%.

I'm a bit confused.

We can have up to six transactions with a limit of $200 per item. So basically, we can have six transactions that can receive cash back; however, if the price is more than $200, then we only get 30% off only $200?

When we check out, we have sixty seconds to click on the cash back banner? I am so confused. I don't want to buy an item until I got the process down. I'm sure I am making this more difficult than what it is...

The $200 mentioned is the limit for the cashback. So say you bought an item for $1,000. You will only get the $200 since it hit the limit instead of $300 cashback. In the end, if you do get to use up the maximum, you should get back around $1,200 which sounds great in my book.

Login using the sign in page. If you don't have a Microsoft account (Hotmail counts), then sign up for one. Then login and go straight to the eBay link provided in the first post. You should see a sign that says Microsoft cashback 30% on the top. You have 60 minutes in this session to buy something. Otherwise, the session will probably time out. Just click on the link again to get another 60 minutes.

From what I see here, you will be told if you qualified for the cashback during the buy it now session.

There should be the little green sign with 30% beside your name on the upper screen on ebay. Before you are obligated to buy the item on ebay, it will have the same green sign with how much you will get back, so if you do not see the sign, which is clearly marked, then you have done something wrong.

It isn't the easiest process in the world but it's not as difficult as you would think. Good luck!

I was testing this out yesterday. While I was still signed in to my Ebay account I opened a new window to be safe and went to live.com Cashback link. The Ebay page showed the Cashback logo on top and I will stil singed in.
Then I tested a "Buy it now" on a item but didnt confirm to buy it. But the page did show a Cashback logo, confirming that I was able to get the 30% off on that item.
And I didnt have to sign in my hotmail account or register.
So, this does work. thx

oh yeah, when does this offer expire?
