Is it just me, or is it funny that Microsoft chose to name their OS after a bunch of bull?
 
or after a real well hung man , maybe there is something about Bill gates we should never know
 
Anyone else not impressed with the screenshots/look of it? To me, it looks like they took XP's candy@ss look, and said "how can we make it feel more like a Mac?" Needless to say, I'm sure the screenshots were taken from their fastest computer running with the best graphics card on the market and maxed out on memory...

Yea, I felt that it was just Windows XP with some fancy Skin. Who knows, I'm sure Microsoft has some ammo to totally outdo Mac.
 
Looking at those screen shots immediately reminded me of a Mac. Obviously Microsoft is trying to tap into that market with this new release. Good luck Bill. Mac people love their Macs and most will never go back.

Windows Longhorn

who here has used Windows Longhorn? talk about crap! not verry impresses, but it is still in the first stages.
 
I think I used one of the really early alphas, must've been at least a year ago. At that point, it was a buggy Windows XP.
 
That's BIG news penpen!!! Windows Vista, hmm. Not as catchy as I woulda liked, but that's just me being picky :p. What is the release date on it? *to the public

I agree with Rockstar.. I liked Long Horn better than Vista.
 
What about the full version for purchase (who is the beta available to?)... I wanna buy it really bad, but I'm no computer programer, just an enthusiest.

Bad name, really lame. I'd like to install it under Virtual PC on my Mac and play around with it.
 
I guess longhorn has been used for sooooooo long that we are already familiar with it, but microsoft has to be difficult and change the name.

yo rockstar i got a 64bit version of longhorn build 5074 i belive its GREAT i use it sometimes... but very few apps work with it!!!!!
