I can personally say that Microsoft has the BEST coutomer support!!! They're really fast to answer the phone, and if they suspect that you do have a real problem, they're prompt to send a replacement. I had an optical mouse die after 3 years, and they sent me 2 replacements.

i don't know about mircosoft cs but i've had the pleasure of using logitech cs and i have to say one of the best i have ever used. i called them about my wireless mouse not charging in it's station and they said they can't determine if it's the mouse or charger so they send me both a new mouse and charger. best thing about it was i didn't need to pay for a thing and they let me keep my old mouse and charger. it turns out that it was just the charger. btw logitech mouses and keyboards have a 5 or 7 year warrenty. i dont remember which one it is though.
