miss teen usa

The question was very legitimate and easy, not much thought provoking. The contestant, however, is quite possibly the dumbest blonde bimbo I have ever heard speak. What a shame! And she dares even to say the word "education"?! I bet she can't even spell it. People like her make me vomit! The hilarious thing is that she keeps on rambling on about South Africa for whatever dumb reason, but I guarantee you whe won't be able to show it on the map of the world either. :mmph:

On another note, I would be soooo ashamed of our country if the rest of the world, particularly our enemies, see this. Miss teen USA????!!!!!!!!

God help us all

I did see part of that competition while busy doing other things that night. While I attest to "jitters and nerves," poise, grace, and, elegance under pressure are virtues that are required for anyone under the public spotlight, or, one who ascribes to a professional realm. The other young girls seemed to handle it just fine? Personally, I have never been a fan of pagents in general, preferring to boost a woman's intellectual capacity over her physical appearance. My Grandmother use to tell us that folks are judged the minute a sentence comes out of their mouths! And, my teachers use to quip that a person is "pegged" the minute they pick up a pen/pencil and begin to write a thought! Me thinks they both were correct. Guess that applies to a computer keyboard as well? ;)

The question I thought Iraq would educate the cities better americans could teach south afrrica if Iraq would know the states.

I saw this on the Tonight Show. It was hilarious! They always say you can't have brains AND beauty. However, I am the exception!! LOL

That's the whole point! It's not hilarious, but extremely sad. The more I watch again, the more it sickens me. I am sorry, but she should not be allowed to reproduce

As a mother to a pre teen daughter it bothers me that these girls are suppose to be "role models"? She is standing there with her hands on her hips, and she said "um" more than once. The first time she said "um" they should have said interview over! More so than that she sounded like a complete idiot and I agree with gr8nrg, it is embarrassing for the US and for SC

OMFG LOL!!!!!!

"our education system, like um south africa and um THE iraq, are, such as, like um"

....

i hope she won

Having been in education, I have found some people to be innately stupid. I am not talking about the mentally retarded/challenged. Even if you give some students one-on-one instruction daily, they cannot learn. The education system isn't ALWAYS the problem. Yes, they keep passing the children on to the next level, but most school districts have a "no hold back" policy. She just had the genes for beauty. In her case, she'll have to rely on that in life! LOL

"The question was very legitimate and easy, not much thought provoking."

Gr8nrg---So how would you answer it?

I appologize in advance, but if you had to ask, you just may have something in common with "the valley girl", and I don't mean the looks  :hmmmm2: :look: :zip:

Is it just me or do you think she just MIGHT be one of the four...

I can't stop watching this video hahaha! LOL LOL

A lot of Americans are illiterate, so they can't read maps.

Well, she probably didn't want to insult anybody. How could you answer that question without being insulting? You could say 20% of the Americans are morons, or you could blame teachers or something, but I just can't think of a way to answer it that isn't insulting to some group. I think the answer is Americans are too wrapped up in our own little world to be concerned about what is going on in the rest of the world, so we don't think about how we fit in globally, but that's insulting to Americans.

Just accept the fact that she's a beautiful girl with "inflate to 32psi" embossed on each earlobe
