I smell a fraud, but I'm not sure yet how many are involved.

Fraud? :noidea:

I think the boy who checked out at 1am definitely knows something....:yesnod:

The girl was obviously given lots of freedom.....

Crazy, Hope she turns up. It does sound fishey with that guy leaving early, however sometimes going on long trips you dread the going back drive. the last time we went to FL from NJ we left around the same time and checked out just to get back home quick. They really do not state when he was exspected to come home.
And that girl has issues with her parents. Maybe she ran away to get attention.

Let me clarify:
I think the girl is OK, that she ran away because she was mad at Mama.
The boy who left in the middle of the night (in my opinion) is scared, not guilty. The fact that he hired a lawyer is not an admission of guilt, in today's environment, it was just plain smart.
The boyfriend is, right now, an innocent victim.

For a teen on Spring break....to leave at 1am on a Sat night/Sun.....that's prime time for fun..... Teens don't think about getting back 'quick' and 'beating traffic'..... I bet you most of those kids were partying all night....:yesnod: And....he never claimed (supposedly) his deposit from the hotel....what teen would leave that much money?

He definitely knows something and got spooked.....:yesnod:

She definitely had a screwy family life.....:yesnod: If she just ran away....why didn't she take anything except her cell phone?

Hiring a lawyer, for me, didn't increase any suspision......the media is a horror show....vultures.

Oh! I didnt realize that he left money. Now that is weird. Maybe he helped her run away. If not he know something. They said something in the article about her getting shorts back. wonder if she was raped or something.

I agree with you all, something is def not right with this story......

Snuggle, the teen borrowed a pair of shorts from her friend and the friend called wanting them back, that is why she left the hotel.
