Mouse... Im cheap :-/

The Keyboards from IBM are terrible so I'm not surprised that you don't like their mice.
Right next to the IBM mice you will see Micro Innovations keyboards/mice/cams. Their stuff if very good.
I recommend their USB optical mouse. It is a two button affair, beige, red sides and a blue scroll wheel. This mouse is the smoothest I've ever used.
It comes with some neat software tricks for controlling the wheel.
These mice are often on rebate either free or $10 at most. I've given away a couple when I get them for free AR.
They also have a 4 button, 2 wheel model which is overkill button - wise. and doesn't work as smoothly as the 2 button model. But it sure is cool looking and increases your bragging rights.
