How expensive are movies in other areas? Around here a matinee is only $7 and standard tickets are like $8.50 tops. So, this is not a very great deal. I know New York tickets are quite expensive from experience, but what about other areas?

Yeah - I sort of agree nick... I think the benefit would be that you could go to a night showing for a 'cheap' price. Even some of the more expensive theaters I know have decent matinee prices - usually around $6-$7 for 'non-3D' films. I've even seen as low as $5 for certain showtimes. I guess this would save a few bucks depending on when you want to go or where you see the movie.

I also live West of NYC about 10 min and movies are about $12-14. I think Matinee is like $9.50 or something.

I live in Los Angeles and an adult movie ticket runs around $12-13.50 (non 3D). Matinee is like $9
