Ok it has been very humid this evening, and living in Florida what does one expect.Had the AC running on all day.Pick the hubby up from work and noticed that it felt a little warmer than usual in the house.I ask him if he thought it was hot in the house? He said just a little. It felt like the heat was on.I look at the thermostat and it said 85.Hmmm.....ok it is 75 outside.
*****duh***** It just dawned on me that our AC quit working almost 3 hours ago. Go figure. I am not having a good night at this point. Its hotter than hades inside and outside.Thank god I am not going through menopause and having hot flashes because if I was....I would be running through the house butt nekkid.  .*****sigh****.My stupid oscillating fan is at full speed of a whopping 3.:mmph: :verysad: ....yippee.
So now we have to get the HVAC man out sometime tomorrow.:bigok:
I hope you all stay cool and have a few ice cold drinks in my behalf.

oh no! I hope you cool off soon!

try putting a bowl of ice water in front of the fan to circulate some cold air.

Also eat lots of popsicles and water ice!

If my A/C stopped working, I'd come out to work immediately and just hang out. We have A/C running every day of the year, even in the middle of winter when it is 10 degrees outside. (9-1-1 dispatch center with lots of computers and other heat-emitting electronics.)

Aw that sucks! I'm sorry! I'd hug ya, but that produces too much body heat...so :yo: for you. ;) Make sure to take cold showers. It'll keep ya cool for a bit.

Well some immediate family member(an in-law)don't know who to blame... went out in the garage and had monkeyed with the temperature controlfor the AC and set it for 85 degrees. Now tell me if that isn't the most dumbest thing someone has ever heard of?My husband went out into the garage after running his errands and discovered it....and fixed it.:bigok:
Ya know...if ya don't know what you are doing in the first place....DON'T MESS WITH IT!!!:mmph:
In Florida or anywhere where AC is needed...you don't need the thermostat unit fixed at 85 degrees. I am so glad none of the males in my hubby's family don't work in HVAC repair....   ...we would all be in trouble....sheesh.

Wait a minute...

The temperature control is in the garage????

I'll stop there.

diGriz....I didn't build the house...thats exactly where the AC thermostat is and our handy dandy water heater....don't know what moron thought of that. :mmph:

Gee, I don't like where my thermostat is... upstairs in the hallway by the bedrooms/loft in the hottest part of the house, but in the garage, that is crazy. What temp do you keep it at? Actually I have mine at 82 or else you freeze downstairs.

76.At least thats what the hubby set it at.:convinced:

Take your oscillating fan and a black marker. Now look at the controls where it says the speed of the fan. Take the marker and draw a backwards three right next to the three, making it an eight. Now your fan goes up to 8 instead of 3 and you should be much cooler.

Just glad you all got it straight and you are once again cooling down!
