Okay, yesterday was my 13th anniversary. With 4 small children and a Little League baseball game to attend, this wasn't going to be the romantic adventure that JerryP experienced......or was it? :spy:

So Hubby met me at the ball field and we came home to finally have dinner at about 7:45pm. He surprised me with gorgeous long stem pink roses, 13 of them, one for every year of our marriage.

So, I go for a vase to put them into which is in our dining room near a flight of stairs that lead down to the media room........yes, I slipped and fell tumbling down the flight of stairs!! lol

My hubby thought I was dead! lol I am just so lucky.....I have this big sore knot on the side of my head, multiple large bruises on my left arm and leg and my upper back is sore as heck!

This could've been just so much worse....lol

So not only was there a damper on dinner (as I sat there holding my head up with a large bag of ice on it), I forgot to give hubby his anniversary card, I went to bed early and now there's a big hole in the wall to fix! And I'm sore as heck! :p Happy Anniversary! :05:

He must really love me to put up with this! :p

Wow Preco- hope the head gets better!! Congrats on 13 years....... :)

dang preco, you must have a hard head. that is a serious hole in the wall. hope you are feeling better today.

Thanks everybody....I'm laughing now just out of shear amazement but this could've been a horrendous incident. People have died or have been paralyzed from less trauma.....I really am lucky...and hardheaded.;)

I have never had such a large lump on my head in my life. When the family felt it, they were amazed and horrified. It's gone down quite a bit today, but it is sore.

Happy Anniversary, Preco & I hope you feel better..I hope your wall feels better soon, too!! :)

Congratulations on your anniversary, we're working on year 28.

You might want to go get checked out. My wife got rear-ended in the van a couple of years ago. She felt fine but I insisted she see the Dr. Turned out she had several soft tissue injuries in her neck and back. He sent her to a physical/massage therapy clinic. That was probably the best series of treatments she's ever had. Made her feel amazingly well.

Goodness Preco I am sorry you had a misfortunate tumble.I am sorry you are hurt but it could have been a whole lot worse.I am sure that that hole in the wall is something that can be fixed. But I am sure your husband wasn't mad because of it.Accidents happen to the best of all of us.I should know. But I also wanted to wish you a Happy Anniversary.Take care.

Oh and just to make you laugh...the next time you have a tumble like that video tape it and send it to Americas Funniest Home Video. You could win $100,000 dollars.Just kidding.Get well soon.

Let me guess you had on stiletto heels?

On a serious note, I did not see this post earlier... Glad to see you are ok. That is one hell of a hole in the wall you made, must be that big head of yours.

Preco that is a big hole! How scary! I'm glad you are OK. I guess this will be one anniversary you and your hubby will never forget!

When it comes to celebrations, they're quite eventful for us.....for my birthday, NYC blacked out....for Hubby's, the Towers were attacked....:theyareon

My husband can never forget our anniversary. Its on Halloween.:bigok:

wow,preco... you and hubby aren't allowed to have ANY MORE birthdays/anniversaries/etc...

and, wow! that's a big arse hole you done put in yer wall! glad you're okay!

You should have checked with me first! I would have recommended the Water Club instead

My sister is coming to The City in Dec to celebrate her 50th. They want to take a CP carriage ride and have me renew their vows. I'll have to tell her to be sure to ONLY take escalators and no stairs.
