My Macys Credit Card Rant

So I finally gave in and got a Macy's credit card. This is my experience with them in the first 3 months I've had it.


I do some shopping and get a bill for $132.06.

Sounds good, so I send them a check and my bank tells me the check was cashed on 12/27/05. Great!

------

I get another bill for 01/18/06 saying I owe another $25 for late fee? I didn't think much of it since credit card companies fix their mistakes.

and then Macys tells me the payment went through on 01/24. Almost a month after they actually cashed it.

Wow! Send them a copy of the check to prove when it was cashed. They will have to fix it then. I have had some of my credit card statements do the same thing. I had one company wouldn't cash the check when they got it early. They would hold it until it was late so they could charge me the late fee. The only thing I could do with them is pay it off and cancel the card.

hah it is like my fiance's, I always joke with him and say his handwriting skills stopped in the third grade....his is worse than spoofee's, its like a third grade writing with the wrong hand!

Okay, =( I didn't know my hand writing was that bad.. thank god to computers/type writers, etc.

I called them today and they told me they'll get it fixed. It was really like they already knew about it. Maybe they do this quite often? I want to cancel my card, but I'll wait a year because I fear credit damage.
