I'm looking to reformat a very old pc,but before i do this i need to add a few components. I need to find a good deal on hard drives(preferably maxtor), if anyone has any good deals they would like to share help me out. Thanks

What kind of HDD are you lookign for, whats your price range, what capacity do you want & what RPM do you need?

outpost.com had a 200GB Maxtor harddrive for $80 free shipping, no rebates.

I HATE REBATES!

Check out outpost.com, I think they had a 250 GB one with no rebates.

Why Maxtor? Seagate makes a much better drive.

Go to iclub.org then on left hand side click on pc parts and repair. They have some pretty good prices, they will even install. They are located in Richmond, KY. Don't know where you live, but it may be worth it if you are close enough. Their phone # is also on this site so you can get more details about what they have and prices.

Thanks

thanks alot for all you help. first i chose maxtor because i have had bad experiences with WD, and really havent tried seagate. Second my price range is from 60 to 120 dollars, i need at least 60 gigs with7200rpm. Thank you very much for all your responses. :).

The list I found on iclub has a 160GB HD(ATA133 or SATA(2), 7200 RPM w/3 yr mfg. warr. for $99.00 installed. Don't know about shipping or if it would be less if you wanted to install yourself. They have smaller sized ones for less also. You would have to call them for more details. Hope this helps a little.
