Hello,
I would like to pick up a nice sewing machine for my girlfriend for x-mas. The problem is I havent a clue on what a good machine is. I think she would like one with alot of features that will last a long time. Its probably to late to get one online because of shipping. So I would need a local deal. I live in Denver. Thanks

Check out this site.

I have model # 1521 and I've never had a problem w/ it. It's pretty versatile. I've sewn everything from sheers to thick fabrics like corduroy. There are so many features on this machine. I don't even know how to use them all. :o
On the site it tells you where you can buy their merchandise as well. I highly recommend JoAnn Fabrics.
Best of luck!!

White does make good machines. Brother makes some nice ones now too. Singer has also been a good brand. Go for one that has a bunch of different stitch options, along with button hole stitching. This is an awesome gift idea. My guy bought me one and I was so thrilled.

Just a quick reply. I am a expert and if I were to buy another mach. I would check out HSN like someone else suggested. I bought a Singer (teacher's model) then watched their prices on t.v. and with alot more to offer I was ready to scream.
You want it to surge, include a number of attachments; the more the less she has to buy when needed according to project's. Go on HSN and check out the models and then check airing time. They offer return 30 day's if she's does not like it; flex pay ( you don't have to pay for it all at once ) and you can buy an ext. warr.
Have Fun
