Hi everyone,
I bought a SOYO SY-P4I865PE Plus Dragon 2 V1.0 Motherboard that was free after rebates and it "seems" that SOYO has "never recieved" my rebate submissions and i have no idea what ive done with my copy of the upc from the box so if anyone has this motherboard or a copy of the upc they could scan and put up i would be greatful.

Cheers,
-Jeff

I cannot find mine, too :( I just received e-mail from Soyo stating that they are not responsible for lost mail. But it's just impossible for USPS to loose so many letters (two my letters and I know more people who've sent for these rebates and never received them)! Maybe if there are enough complains we can convince them to send rebates?

If you purchased this from Tiger Direct, you might as well just chalk it up as lesson learned. Tiger Direct does not pay out rebates, there have been several incidents of people being scammed out of SOYO rebates from them. As a matter of fact people are getingt scammed out of most SOYO rebates, regardless of where they purchased.

:camera: I got mine from Newegg and I still haven't gotten anything from Soyo. I think it's been more than 6 months now. I did, however, get an email from newegg stating that I need to contact Soyo about getting my rebate. I thought it was a bit strange seeing as how I made no inquery as to the rebate at newegg. My guess would be that they have had several inqueries about them.

I wonder, has ANYONE gotten their rebates for this deal when it was on Newegg (sometime in the last half of last year)?

edit: I ordered mine on September 7th... I just found my original email from newegg.

Well I emailed SOYO about getting my rebate and they sent me back an email telling me to send a copy of my UPC, filled out form, and invoice to one of the guys working there via certified mail with return reciept... so i guess ill do that and then if they try to jerk me again... ill just go spend 15 bux and open up a small claims suit at my neighborhood courthouse here in NYC... im sure that will then get their attention.

By the way DOS... you wouldnt have a copy of the UPC you sent in lying around anywhere that you could scan and put up... since i also bought my mobo from newegg and im not sure which of the two UPCs pen pen put up correspond to the one we're supposed to get a rebate for...

Cheers,
-Jeff

With as many people that got scammed out of thier money, maybe we should file a class action lawsuit. I don't think they could lose that many rebates in the mail.

Jeff, unfortunatly I hadn't yet learned my lesson about copying my UPCs back in September. So to answer your question: no I don't still have my UPC.

edit: Actually if you look at both UPCs, one is "SY-P4I865PE Plus Dragon 2 v1.0" and the other is "Soyo SY-P4I865PE Plus Dragon 2 Motherboard". I purchased the first one so I'm guessing that's my UPC. Where can I get the proper rebate forms from?

Well I got a response from Soyo and it looks like I'm going to have to try the UPC from the UPCDB. I'll let you know if it works, although the email said it could take up to 5 weeks before I get anything. Still, that's $75 I thought I'd never see again :D

DOS, I too bought a Soyo board from newegg. Good God never again with Soyo rebates! It took me 9 months and MANY emails to get my money out of them but I did finally get two checks for $35 and $40. I felt like I'd won the lottery cause I never thought they'd come through.
Anyways, I still have my UPC copy if you need it. PM me with your email address. I'm not on here too often but I'll try to check back.

By the way, the UPC database one looks nothing like the original.

Soyo Rebate

I had the same excat rebate problems, but I kept working on Soyo and received both $80.00 dollar ones. When you email them they put you in contact with one of their reps and tell you to send them a registered letter, I sent it certified, with a copy of the rebate materials. So I know that they did not get lost. I had learned my lesson in the past, so I had copies of both of them and the UPC's. About 6 weeks later, six months in all, I received the rebates.

If you require a copy of the UPC, I can scan it and send it to you.

I feel that this company will not pay unless you do this.

Did this ever get rectified for you?

For me, it took a number of phone calls to newegg, then I was able to talk to someone at soyo. I got my 2 checks $45 each last month. It was only because of the information from this board that I was able to get the outrage fixed.

It's not an outrage, it's pretty much standard practice with rebates. I have 3 rebate with 2 different electronics stores that should have been mailed out a month ago, which i didn't do. I'll call them up and ask about status, according to their site they have not received the info yet. I'll tell them i mailed them out about a month ago and they will tell me, most likely, to fax them the copies, which i will. Problem should be solved. This is usually what i have to do when i do mail them. I thought i'd try something a little different. If i don't receive the rebates? Did i really expect to get them in the first place? No.

Will keep you updated.

The Process...

I bought my SOYO Motherboard from New Egg last August. And since we're fast approaching the 1 year anniversery I figure I may try to get my money back. I emailed newegg, and they sent me an email suggesting I send Soyo a mail with
the invoice and Soyo would take care of it. That was April, and still nothing.

Can someone who has received their NewEgg/Soyo rebate jot down the process, paperwork, address, number, etc to get our money. I am no longer a
new egg customer because of this incident.

Thank You

I wouldn't blame newegg. The rebate went through SOYO. It is SOYO you should have nothing to do with.

Soyo Solution

I have sent a letter to the State of California, Attorney General's office. They have quickly sent a letter to Soyo and we are waiting for a reply. The Attorney General's office said the only way they can go after Soyo is if they receive enough complaints. Soyo is a California based company and the State has already received complaints. Let's quit wasting our time complaining to each other and send your letter to: http://caag.state.ca.us/contact/index.htm and help get Soyo taken care of.
Please this is our only way!!!!!

I sent my complaint this morning. Thanks for the link, and here's to hoping something comes out of this.

Who are you all filing a complain against? Soyo or tiger direct. I bought a mobo and chasis combo for $230 that was supposed to be free after rebates. Never got them. So my question again is, soyo or tigerdirect? Plus, Can you do the work for me and give me their company info so I dont have to go dig around to find out what it is. THANKS. ;)
